We invite you to support mothers and children across Mississippi. The links below connect directly to wish lists from local pregnancy centers and community organizations serving women and families in need.

Through this initiative, and in partnership with the Mississippi Pregnancy Resource Alliance, we are continuing our commitment to ensure that no mother has to navigate pregnancy or motherhood alone. By giving tangible support, whether diapers, clothing, or essential baby items, you are helping provide real, immediate assistance to moms and their babies during a critical time.

In addition, in Mississippi, businesses have been eligible for several years for tax credits for financial contributions to pregnancy centers under the Pregnancy Resource Charitable Organizations (PRCO).  The Legislature this year expanded eligibility for the tax credit to individuals.

Supporting pregnant women and mothers is one of five pillars that make up Attorney General Fitch's Empowerment Project, a policy agenda launched in 2023 following her victory at the Supreme Court in the Dobbs case:

2. Promoting Workplace Flexibility Policies
3. Streamlining and Improving Foster Care and Adoption Systems
4. Enhancing Child Support Enforcement
5. Supporting pregnant women and mothers

Among the more than one dozen Empowerment Project initiatives passed by the Legislature is Mississippi Access to Maternal Assistance, or MAMA (SB 2781). This free website and mobile app provides easy access to hundreds of public, private, and faith-based resources and services to help women and families in need.  This year, the Legislature passed another Empowerment Project initiative, providing that past-due child support should be paid out of casino winnings.  To learn more about the other Empowerment Project initiative, click HERE.
