Employment and Internships

Your Attorney General’s Office is made up of 300 dedicated public servants. We are attorneys and law enforcement officers, nurses, CPAs, and professionals – all dedicated to serving Mississippi.

If you would like to find out about opportunities to join our team, please send your cover letter, resume, and, for attorneys, a writing sample to HR@ago.ms.gov.

In addition, throughout the year, we welcome college and law school students for paid externships or school credit. Each summer, we also invite both law students and undergraduate  students for 6-week internships. We do our best to match interns and externs with divisions that most interest them. Students will get hands-on experience and exposure to the broad array of work done at this office.

For the Summer of 2026, the first session internships will run May 18-June 26 and the second session July 6-August 14. The office is able to work with students who may need to adjust dates, including for longer periods. Read more about our Summer Internship HERE.
